Global Ignorance: With Facts against Misconceptions of the World
The tests of the Swedish scientist Hans Rosling reveal that most people have a distorted picture of the world. This misconeptions are shaped by subjective impressions from the media and their own experiences. In his bestselling book “Factfulness”, Rosling pleads for questioning one's own subjective perception and trusting facts instead.
Georg Zimmermann, who holds a doctorate in mathematics, introduces the work of the Gapminder Foundation founded by Hans Rosling. Moreover, he shows the pitfalls of statistical evaluations and explains how we can deal with them.
