The diversity of the Peruvian kitchen with the variety of traditional dishes is impressive. It emerged from the fusion of the traditional indigenous kitchen of Peru with the Spanish, influenced by culinary traces from the Atlantic coast in Africa through slavery. Later French, Chinese, Japanese and Italian influences got integrated. This is how the Peruvian cuisine unifies flavors of four different continents in one country. We are going to get convinced by this culinary richness during cooking and eating together.

Excursion for AAI scholarship holders and interested persons
This easy hike leads us trough the valley of Klausbach in the Berchtesgarden national park, also known as valley of eagles. The destination is the historic salt trading pass Hirschbichl at the border between Austria and Germany. For centuries, the old pathway was an important connection to transport salt from Berchtesgaden to Pinzgau. Additionally we learn interesting facts about projects of the national park. The valley is still characterized by traditional alpine pasture. Before we return home, we are going to stop for a bite to eat at a mountain pasture.
